Deathcore

Deathcore je hudobný žáner, ktorý v sebe kombinuje prvky death metalu s prvkami metalcoru alebo hardcore punku alebo oboch.[1][2][3][4][5] Je definovaný "prehnaným" použitím death metalových riffov, blast beatov a hardcore punkových breakdownov.[6][7] Zdá sa, že deathcore sa dostal do najväčšej pozornosti, predovšetkým v juhozápadných Spojených štátoch, a to v Arizone a v južnej Kalifornii (obzvlášť v údolí Coachella Valley), ktoré je domovom mnohých skupín a aj festivalov.[8][9][10][11]

Zvyčajný je growling a screaming,[6] kým čisté vokály sú veľmi zriedkavé. Deathcore je definovaný breakdownami, blast beatmi a death metalovými riffmi.[6] Skupiny do tvorby včleňujú gitarové sóla a melodické riffy podobné ako v metalcore.[12] Podobne ako ďalšie extrémne metalové žánre, gitaristi deathcoru podlaďujú svoje gitary, čo dáva tejto hudbe ťažký zvuk.
