The Holy Bible je tretí album skupiny Manic Street Preachers. Je to posledný album vydaný pred zmiznutím gitaristu a textára Richeyho Edwardsa.

Album má temné texty o prostitúcii, holokauste, masových vrahoch alebo anorexii. Hoci sú Wire a Edwards uvedení ako autori textov uvedení rovnocenne pri každej piesni, Wire priznáva, že väčšinu textov napísal Edwards (piesne 4st 7lb a Die in the Summertime sú dokonca výhradne Edwardsovými textami). Hoci bol Edwards prítomný na nahrávaní, nepodieľal sa na ňom.

Tom Lord-Alge urobil odlišný mix albumu, ktorý bol plánovaný pre americkú verziu. Hoci mala skupina pocit, že tento mix znel lepšie, ako pôvodný, nakoniec nevyšiel. Skupina ho vydala až v roku 2004 na špeciálnej výročnej edícii.
