Prínos hodnotenia úplnosti je v tom, že pri ohodnotenom článku je na prvý pohľad jasné, koľko práce ešte vyžaduje. Bez neho môže byť prvý pohľad zavádzajúci, pretože dlhé články môžu vyzerať ako úplné.
