Tiestov Magik Muzik 1 bol veľmi úspešný najmä v rodnom Holandsku, ale Magik Muzik 2 lámal rekordy v predajnosti aj bez reklamy. Po úspechu jeho remixu Delerium - Silence, ktorý sa držal na prvých priečkach hitparád vo Veľkej Británií a U.S.A a v rádiach sa hrával aj počas denných časov. Tiësto sa svojim producentským umením tvorby trancu prebojoval na samý vrchol.
Bol niekoľko krát vyhlásený za najlepšieho DJ sveta a vyhral niekoľko cien MTV Awards za najlepší tanečný album. Neskôr sa mu podarilo svojim sólovým koncertom, ktorý niesol názov TIESTO IN CONCERT vypredať 25-tisícový štadión. No ešte väčší úspech sa dostavil keď hral na otváracom ceremoniále Olympijských hier v Aténach, kde hral naživo pre 70 000 ľudí a miliardy ľudí pri televíznych obrazovkách. Jeho projekt Tiesto In Concert bol taký úspešný, že sa pravidelne opakujú každý rok, prvý koncert z roku 2003 a koncert z roku 2004 boli vydané aj na DVD nosičoch. Tiesto prezentuje svojim jedinečným trancovým zvukom ktorý nesie samozvane meno Sound Of Tiesto svoju rodnú krajinu Holandsko. V súčasnosti sa začal venovať aj tvorbe nekomerčnéj hudby, ktorá je určená hlavne pre klubovú scénu a nesie sa v duchu undegroundoveho zvuku. Tiesto sa pri tvorbe tejto nekomerčnej hudby vrátil k svojmu starému pseudonymu ALLURE pod ktorým túto hudbu produkuje.
