Empire of the Sun
Empire of the Sun je austrálska elektronická dvojica zo Sydney, ktorá vznikla v roku 2008.[2] Jej členmi sú dlhoroční spolupracovníci Luke Steele z alternatívnej rockovej skupiny The Sleepy Jackson a Nick Littlemore z elektronickej skupiny Pnau.[3]

Ich debutový album Walking on a Dream z roku 2008 ich dostal do väčšieho povedomia, pričom vyhral sedem cien ARIA Award, bol certifikovaný dvomi platinovými platňami v Austrálii a zlatou platňou v USA.[4] Z albumu bol vydaný singel „We Are the People“, ktorý dosiahol 14. miesto v rebríčku UK Singles Chart.
Druhý štúdiový album s názvom Ice on the Dune bol vydaný dňa 14. júna 2013 v Austrálii,[5] a predchádzal mu singel „Alive“.[6] Dvojica má v súčasnosti podpísané nahrávacie zmluvy s EMI Australia a Virgin Records.[7]
