== Charakteristika ==
Kurátori a umeleckí zberatelia jeho tvorbu značujú ako neo-pop, alebo post-pop, od 80. rokov 20. storočia reagujúcu najmä na predchádzajúci [[Minimal art|minimalizmus]] a konceptualizmus. Svojim povýšením gýča medzi vysoké umenie vyvolal veľmi kontroverzné reakcie. Autor sám však akékoľvek pokusy o kategorizáciu svojho diela odmieta a najmä popiera, že by jeho práce mali akýkoľvek skrytý význam.
