Edwin Atherstone (* 1788 – † 1872) bol anglický básnik, predstaviteľ romantizmu[1].

Jeho najväčšie dielo je epos The Fall of Nineveh[2] (Pád Ninive), ktorý je epická dráma podľa vzoru Homéra aj Vergília, napísaná v noblesnom klasickom štýle s výrazným poetickým akcentom. Epos pojednáva o tom, ako hlavné mesto Asýrie Ninive bolo vydrancované spojenými vojenskými silami Médov a Babylonanov.
