Function Details: The bot is already running on several wikipedias - here some of the contributions: english, german, swedish, czech, arabic, hebrew and danish. (see de:Bot-Schafter for a complete list)

The bot will add the Najlepšie články star ( ) into the interWiki as you should be able to see in the article Go. This will help to improve the Slovak articles since people with enough knowledge of foreign languages can translate from the approved content of the marked articles. The bot is running stable and has about 20.000 Edits.

The Bot is based on the pywikipedia framework and will run once every one or two month with a max. three edits per minute. Have a look at the user-page for more details and the source of the script.

This bot is not an interwiki-bot - it does not add interwiki links - I ask you to read my description once again and take a look at the mentioned article Go. The small stars you see at the left side signalize that excellent articles in other languages exist and invite everyone who is able to, to translate the article into slovac. And so far I doubt that there is another bot doing the same thing, since the original script is very buggy and i had to change almost the whole thing and almost no "link fa template" is written in sk. --Bot-Schafter 14:53, 25. február 2007 (UTC)[odpovedať]

There are already a few bots adding FA links. Just one to mention, IW-BOT (the bot which is operated by me) was creating these links long before the german wikipedia started with it. —Maros 18:09, 25. február 2007 (UTC)[odpovedať]

Ok, there seems really to be one bot which is doing it - yours - but as I wrote, I modified the script so it works probably quite different form your bot. It will find all doubles of the template like {{FA|es}} and {{link_FA|es}} and {{Link FA|es}} and deletes all but one, places the corrected form behind the Spanish interwiki - and all that even though it is actually adding English templates. Please have a look at the contributions i.e. this, this or that one where the template is {{UA:xx}}. In any case, it corrects the spelling from the template to {{Link FA:xx}} and moves all templates behind their according interwiki - but only when the template is really missing - otherwise it won't change anything. Also, my category list seems far more complete than yours. By the way, if you are really concerned about the server load, don't let your bot do 9 edits per minute with FA-templates as it did yesterday shortly after i applied for bot-status. You seem not to understand plain English. So again, there are more bots (i.e. not only mine) adding FA links. The fact that your bot is different is not an advantage - is it clear disadvantage. My bot, similarly as the other bots adding FA links on sk wiki, is using standard pywikipedia framework which means that all are working in the same way. If you are not satisfied with the way the standard bot works, you can change it or propose a change so the whole community can profit. I do not get the comment about double templates and correcting the spelling - we do not have here this problem. Probably, because the bots here are using standard framework... I do not see the point running here 5 bots when every bot is editing/revering the changes that other bot did. That leads me to the next point - the server load. If you will run the bot more than once, it will not change anything but server load will increase. So, if there is/are already enough bots doing the same, there is no need to have here others, not mentioning the case when different bots are reverting each other. I did not talked about edits per minute. Finally, your database can hardly be more complete than mine - I use again standard framework, which is fetching current FA just before trying to link them. —Maros 17:30, 26. február 2007 (UTC)[odpovedať]
Well, feel free to name the other four bots - I don't see any other than yours adding the FA-templates. I don't see any advantage when all bots work the same way and do the same mistakes. Just two examples where your bot failed: link FA - your bot did not see the existing template, since it does not have a capital letter in the beginning and adds a second template. Another example is that where your bot adds empty lines and does not put the templates in an alphabetic order - ugly and messy. And since you rely on the "standard framework" you cause more server load since people might need to correct it... My bot by the way, does not correct other bots mistakes if no other work is to be done anyway. And regarding the database - you will see it yourself since it seems that I get a bot-flag anyway. Ziadost je tu iba mesiac! :) Ze sme my admini nesledovali, ze niekto riadi bez flagu bota je nasa administratorska chyba (potazme kazdeho, kto sleduje posledne upravy a rozoznal chybu)... Ze sme mu my byrokrati nedali bot flag po 2 tyzdnovom hlasovani je nasa chyba. hmm asi je novacik, alebo to len u nas sa takto schvaluje ze nevie ako to chodi? Vnoci povedal ze ho vypne (potom ako bol upozorneny od Kelovyho), dnes pokracoval v editoch a este sa stazuje u seba :). pripájam sa ku Kandymu. Ani neviete, ako mi srdiečko bije vzrušením, že Multichill utešene dopĺňa interwiki, ktoré som uviedol do obehu len pred pár hodinami. Nemali by sme vždy rigorózne dodržovať Marosove (iste dobre myslené) odporúčania, ale pozrieť sa na vec z pohľadu prospechu pre wiki. Pre nezainteresovaných - problém je v tom, že Multi získal tretí hlas (ktorý požaduje redaktor Maros) až po dvoch týždňoch (ktoré dal robotom k dispozícii na získanie podpory rovnaký redaktor). --Kelovy 17:18, 16. jún 2007 (UTC)[odpovedať]

úplný súhlas :) pre tých, ktorí si myslia, že interwiki robotov máme dosť - áno, máme, ale mnohé z nich sú dlhodobo neaktívne (napr. dnes už legendárny YurikBot, čo však žiadnemu z nich nemožno vyčítať). Vzhľadom na veľkosť našej wiki ich je stále veľmi málo, čo viem sám najlepšie, pretože sa problematike interwiki "laicky" venujem.
