The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time (500 najlepších skladieb všetkých čias) je zoznam skladieb, ktorý v novembri 2004 publikoval časopis Rolling Stone.[1]. Bolo to o rok neskôr ako tento istý časopis zverejnil zoznam The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (500 najlepších albumov všetkých čias). Skladby vyberalo 172 hudobníkov, hudobných kritikov a predstaviteľov hudobného priemyslu.

Takmer celý zoznam je zložený zo severoamerických a britských umelcov, teda umelcov, ktorí pochádzajú z oblastí vzniku rock and rollu. Z 500 skladieb 354 pochádza zo Spojených štátov, 117 zo Spojeného kráľovstva. 12 z Írska, 10 má pôvod v Kanade a dve sú z Austrálie (obidve sú od skupiny AC/DC). Len jedna pieseň, s číslom 345 - „La Bamba“" od Ritchie Valensa, nie je naspievaná v anglickom jazyku.

Z 21. storočia pochádzajú iba tri skladby, všetky sú z hip-hopového žánru: „Lose Yourself“ (#166), „Stan“ (#290) od Eminema a „Hey Ya!“ od OutKastu (#180). Dve skladby zoznamu sú zo 40. rokov 20. storočia: „Rollin' Stone“ (#459) od Muddy Watersa a „I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry“ (#111) od Hanka Williamsa.
